The Rubio Monocoat Heritage Build-off is a celebration of craftsmanship, creativity, and community impact. This unique event brings together 13 talented makers, each challenged to design and create an original interior furniture piece that showcases their skill, vision, and attention to detail. All furniture pieces will be finished with Rubio Monocoat, highlighting the natural beauty of the wood while adding a fresh, modern touch to timeless design.
But this event is about more than just exceptional furniture, it’s about making a difference. Once completed, all pieces will be auctioned off, with proceeds going to charity.
The online auction will run from 1 to 30 September on www.rubiomonocoat.co.za, giving design enthusiasts, collectors, and supporters the opportunity to own a one-of-a-kind creation while contributing to an important cause.
From innovative modern designs to beautifully crafted traditional pieces, each entry in the Heritage Build-off reflects the passion and dedication of its maker. This is your chance to celebrate South African craftsmanship and help create lasting change – one piece of furniture at a time.
Makers will have 5 months to build their furniture piece (1 March – 31 July)
