Project Description

The beautiful James Ensor House in Ostend (Belgium) was restored with Rubio Monocoat oil. Parket De Pauw was responsible for restoring the wooden floors and stairs, and they had no hesitation in choosing Rubio Monocoat for the job. They want to preserve the natural appearance of the wood. So they chose to use Rubio Monocoat Oil Plus 2C, colour Pure for the traditional oak floors and stairs. For the larch wooden floorboards a 1:1 ratio of the colour Mist 5% and Smoke 5% were used. The result of this mixture was a natural look & feel that came closest to that of the original wooden flooring.
